Jeddah: Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) plans to spend $8.2 billion on 14 projects to develop the state’s main airport.
The investment will transform it into an active regional center for air transport, passengers and cargo, Alarabiya reported, citing DGCA.
Projects include a new terminal that accommodates 25 million passengers annually at an estimated cost of $5 billion.
The rest of the budget will develop operations, air navigation and development, the third runway and control tower, aircraft catering building, and security services project.
