  • Aya Haidar

The British-Lebanese artist's artwork, titled “Dwelling on the Past,” revolves around the lost craft of weaving and Bedouin culture, which is a rich part of Emirati heritage.

  • Hazem Harb

Hazem Harb is a Palestinian-Italian artist. He draws from academia, architecture and European art traditions to discuss complex social and cultural relations.

  • Najat Makki

Najat Makki, the first Emirati woman to obtain a PhD in the Philosophy of Art for her research into coins, is inspired by local heritage. Her work covers a variety of styles, including realism and abstract expressionism.

  • Rasheed Araeen

The London-based Pakistani artist has exhibited his work internationally, including a recent show called “Rasheed Araeen: A Retrospective,” which traveled to the Netherlands, Switzerland and more.

  • Richard Atugonza

The Ugandan sculptor’s current body of work encompasses a selection of portraits depicting people in his life whom he sculpts in materials such as sawdust and charcoal.
