Fahad bin Saleh Al-Azzam has been the assistant deputy minister for enablement at the Ministry of Health since September 2019.
He ensures there is a coherent relationship between the ministry’s operational plan and strategic objectives by applying best practice, and developing, controlling and monitoring a communication strategy.
He was previously general manager for the enterprise project management office at the ministry.
He worked as a project and program manager at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and as a senior field service engineer at Advanced Electronics Co.
Al-Azzam is a certified consultant and trainer in project management and strategy based on Project Management Institute standards. He is a member of the Saudi Council of Engineers and the PMI.
His project, 3D-ePMO, at the ministry won in the innovative team category at the Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Innovation in Project Management in 2019.
Al-Azzam graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He has a master’s degree in engineering management with a minor degree in project management from the University of Bridgeport.
He has a minor degree in leadership with a special program from Harvard and project management certificates from the PMI.
