Who’s Who: Hamad Homoud Al-Hammad, head of the Federation of Saudi Chambers’ national contracting committee

Hamad Homoud Al-Hammad was in November appointed to head the Federation of Saudi Chambers’ national contracting committee for a term of three years.

He has also been a member of the Eastern Province chamber’s board of directors since 2018 and is currently the chief executive officer of Homoud Hamad Al-Hammad Holding Group.

In his position with the federation, he is responsible for drawing up the committee’s strategy and protecting the interests of the contracting sector’s investors and has played a key consultation role in the committee’s work on strategic projects implemented by Saudi contractors.

Prior to joining the federation, he helped launch a number of successful initiatives as head of the Eastern Province chamber’s contracting committee.

Al-Hammad said the contracting sector was a crucial partner in implementing major national development projects and contributing toward achieving the targets of the Saudi Vision 2030 reform plan.

As vice chairman of the Eastern Province chamber’s endowments committee, he helped in delivering a number of initiatives including one involved in covering 1 million square meters of mosque maintenance and cleaning.

He is a member of various boards of associations and committees including the Patients Friends Committee in the Eastern Province, the Trahum Association, the Saudi Economic Association, and the Health Endowments Association of which he was a member of the founding committee.

Al-Hammad holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
