RIYADH: The first batch of student subsidies for the current academic year was deposited by the Takaful Charity Foundation to financially support disadvantaged students.

Approximately 270,000 male and female students in 17,000 governmental schools will receive a total of SR134 million ($34.84 million) provided by Takaful in continuous support from the government of King Salman.

The subsidies help students who previously registered for the last academic year following the conditions set by the establishment. The students were selected according to data recorded at the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Interior, and the General Organization for Social Insurance.

Takaful provides other support programs (material, moral, and educational) for male and female students who benefit from its services. These programs and projects aim to help students excel in their studies and improve their educational, employment, and practical opportunities in the future.
