Dr. Fahad Ahmed Al-Fifi has been director of strategy and performance at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs since January 2020. Prior to that, he served as director of the National Statistical Strategic Plan 2030 at the General Authority for Statistics between November 2018 and January 2020.
He was director of the strategic management office and director of information technology at the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization between October 2017 and September 2018.
Al-Fifi was head of the management information systems department at Jazan University between August 2016 and October 2017. He was also assistant professor at Robert Morris University’s computer and information system department between August 2013 and January 2016.
He served as a Grand Award Judge at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in the US between December 2009 and August 2012 and was a strategy manager for the King Abdullah Public Education Development Project in Riyadh from December 2009 to August 2021. He was director of the information center at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry between March 2004 and February 2007.
Al-Fifi served as information specialist at the Arabian Advanced Systems Corporation between February 2003 and March 2004. He also served as a strategic consultant for numerous organizations, including the Saudi Railway Co. and the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment.
As an innovative business developer, he boasts more than 14 years of experience in strategic and operational planning, project management, and cloud computing technology.
He received a Doctor of Science in strategy and leadership from Robert Morris University and a Master of Science in project management from Lawrence Technology University. He holds a project management diploma from Lawrence Technology University and a post-bachelor certificate from Virginia Commonwealth University.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in information systems management and a diploma in applied computer and information systems from Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University.
