Greek Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alexis Konstantopoulos met the supervisor general of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, in Riyadh on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of common interest related to humanitarian and relief work.
Konstantopoulos praised the objectives, performance and achievements of KSrelief throughout the world, particularly in crisis-stricken countries.
Al-Rabeeah also met Martina Strong, chargé d’affaires of the US Embassy in Riyadh. They exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries.
Strong and Al-Rabeeah want to build on their partnership in the field of relief and humanitarian work as the US diplomat praised the relationship between the two countries in various fields.
Al-Rabeeah highlighted the role KSrelief plays in 70 countries in cooperation with local, regional, and international partners.
KSrelief has implemented 1,727 projects worth more than $5.47 billion around the world as Yemen has been the biggest benefactor of these projects, he said.
Since its inception in 2015, KSrelief has carried out initiatives in cooperation with 144 local, regional and international partners. The center’s programs include food security, water sanitation, hygiene, health, education, emergency aid, nutrition, and more.
