DUBAI: Nearly two years after her split from New York governor Andrew Cuomo, celebrity chef Sandra Lee has sparked engagement rumors with French-Algerian actor Ben Youcef.
Lee, who ended her 14-year relationship with Cuomo in 2019, was pictured this week sporting a diamond ring on her left ring finger in St. Tropez where she is currently holidaying with Youcef.
Youcef, 42, was born in Algiers. The father of two, who got divorced in 2020, is an actor, who has appeared on “Law & Order,” “CSI: NY” and “NCIS: LA and Chicago PD.”
He was discovered by director Steven Spielberg in Munich.
Youcef was also a renowned theater actor who studied in London before working as a model in New York.
He also starred in award-winning film “The Algerian,” a 2014 political thriller directed by Giovanni Zelka.
Lee and Youcef were first linked earlier this month, after they were spotted dining out at the L'Opera restaurant in St. Tropez.
The relationship rumors come amidst widespread calls for the governor’s resignation after more than half a dozen sexual harassment allegations were leveled against Cuomo earlier this year.
Governor Cuomo has denied all allegations.
"I have never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate advances," he said during a press conference last week.
“That is just not who I am. And that's not who I have ever been.”
