RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) is supporting a nutrition project for children under the age of 5, pregnant women and nursing mothers in the governorates of Aden, Lahij, Taizz, Hodeidah, Hadramout, Hajjah and Marib.
The project aims to provide therapeutic feeding, healthcare and counseling. From July 8-13, 12,035 individuals have benefited from the project.
KSRelief has also distributed urgent shelter materials to the displaced in the Al-Bayda governorate of Yemen.
On this occasion, Ahmed Al-Tahri, the secretary-general of Bihan Local Council, said that the consignment — consisting of 60 tents, 360 blankets and 120 rugs — was distributed to over 360 displaced people in Bihan and Usaylan in the governorate of Shabwa. He praised the urgent response by KSRelief to help the displaced in Yemen. The aid comes within the framework of projects provided by the center, Saudi Arabia’s relief arm, to alleviate the current humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
