The Briefing Room: The Special Tribunal for Lebanon - Truth, Justice or Accountability?

The Arab News Research & Studies’ Briefing Room webinar titled “The Special Tribunal for Lebanon: Truth, Justice or Accountability” in partnership with the Lebanese American University NY Academic Center.

Joining Head of Research & Studies Tarek Ali Ahmad is Olga Kavran, the the Founding Director of IUSTICOM, the first NGO specifically dedicated to communicating justice, and from 2010-2020 was the Head of Outreach and Legacy at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.

Alongside Kavran is Nadim Shehadi, the executive director of the LAU Headquarters and Academic Center in New York and an Associate Fellow of Chatham House in London; as well as Dr. Nidal Jurdi, a Lebanese-Canadian lawyer who is the Lead Victim Representative at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and Acting Representative of the United Nations Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Tunisia. He has published numerous journal entries on the STL, the ICC, victims’ participation in international criminal proceedings and more.
