DUBAI: The Yemeni army along with the popular resistance repelled Houthi attacks in Al-Bayda and Marib governates on Wednesday, killing dozens of Iranian-backed militia, Asharq Al-Awsat reported.
Quoting military sources, it said that Yemeni army offensives, backed by local tribes and Arab Coalition airstrikes, managed to fend off the group’s efforts to expand the area of confrontations and try to penetrate both areas.
A day earlier, the news outlet reported that hundreds of Houthi fighters were killed in fierce battles that had been raging for over a week in the southern parts of Yemen’s northeastern governorate of Marib.
Yemen’s Defense Minister Mohammed Al-Maqdashi and army commanders have vowed to continue the battles against the Houthi militias during their visits to the front lines on the Marib fronts.
