RIYADH: Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar said on Tuesday the capital city has come a long way in terms of tourism mainly due to the generous support from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the leadership’s keen interest to develop the Kingdom’s tourism sector.
He was speaking during a meeting with Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdul Aziz, undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism.
During the meeting, the governor was briefed about plans to activate the Tourism Development Council in Riyadh.
The top officials also reviewed the roles of the development councils in other parts of the Riyadh region. They discussed ways to increase harmony between all these tourism bodies to unify efforts to achieve common goals.
The meeting also reviewed statistics related to domestic tourism with a focus on Riyadh.
