Essam Alghamdi was recently appointed deputy minister of municipal, rural affairs and housing for subsidy and housing solutions.
He has more than 15 years of experience in different industries. Alghamdi has extensive experience in product development, category management, new product launch and implementation. He has led communication campaigns across the housing sector in Saudi Arabia.
Alghamdi served as the general director of strategic communication and public relations at the Ministry of Housing from 2015 to June 2021. In that position, he led the marketing strategies, design and managed various initiatives, led and managed the housing branding strategy, business development strategies, strategized events, social media and media influencers, and participated in and led the Sakani Housing Program, a national housing initiative launched under the Saudi Vision 2030.
Before that, he was the marketing and strategy manager at Rafal Real Estate Dev. Co.
Alghamdi also served as a business development manager at “Tawuniya” from 2012 to 2015. He was a brand manager in the food and beverage industry, a marketing consultant at Elixir Business Consultancy, and was a regulation researcher at “CITC” in 2008.
He obtained a master’s degree in business administration at Alfaisal University. He received a bachelor’s degree in “quantitative methods, MIS” from King Saud University. Alghamdi received a professional certificate in real estate finance and development from MIT in the US in 2017, and a postgraduate marketing degree from the Institute of Public Administration, Riyadh.
