ATHENS: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan concluded his official visit to Greece on Thursday by meeting with the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the capital Athens.
The prince conveyed the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the prime minister.
They reflected on the highlights of previous meetings with Greek officials, stressing the importance of supporting joint cultural cooperation efforts between the two friendly countries, which would deepen the distinguished bilateral relations between both nations.
The minister began his official visit to the republic by meeting President Katerina Sakellaropoulou at the Presidential Palace.
He also met with top Greek officials on Wednesday and Thursday, including the minister of culture and sports and the prime minister.
This visit aims to lay the foundation for cooperation between the Kingdom and Greece to serve cultural fields through an intensive program over the next two years.
Prince Badr also met with the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias.
During the meeting, Prince Badr praised the distinguished historical relations between the Kingdom and Greece, spanning more than 90 years.
The meeting was attended by the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Greece Dr. Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Ammar and the General Supervisor of Cultural Affairs and International Relations Rakan Al-Toq.
