DUBAI: A Saudi security official praised the Kingdom’s development of security services that have strengthened its fight against crime, state news agency SPA reported on Saturday.
Lieutenant General Khalid bin Qarar Al-Harbi, Director of Public Security, said that the Kingdom advanced its position in the fight against crime and is continuing its development in security services.
These developments were in accordance with the strategic plans to develop security services for the sectors of the Ministry of the Interior, he said.
The Ministry of Interior relied on strategic digital and technical transformation, Harbi said, which included ways to develop systems capable of dealing with modern data for security work.
Harbi’s comments came after it was announced that Saudi Arabia had won a seat on the United Nations Commission on Drugs and Crime for the period 2022-2025.
