Isuzu Motors International Operations (Thailand) launched virtually the new Isuzu D-Max pickup truck. The company organized an online ceremony with collaboration from its Middle Eastern dealers and attendance of a group of media representatives.
For decades, Isuzu vehicles have proved to be reliable workhorses thanks to their durable and easily maintained diesel engines.
Ever since the global outbreak of COVID-19, with consumers becoming more sensitive to their budgeting, the fuel efficiency of diesel engines has played a huge role in saving costs over the long run.
The Middle Eastern automobile market witnessed an increased demand in diesel-powered vehicles, emphasizing the importance of this market.
With more than 4 million kilometers of testing equivalent to 100,000 times around the earth, invested into the new D-Max, Isuzu’s seventh-generation pickup truck is the most advanced, refined and sophisticated vehicle ever produced by the Japanese automaker. The D-Max will be available across two cabin types — single cab and crew cab — with several model variants.
Now, the new 3-liter engine comes with higher horsepower and torque. The engine is equipped with 10 kW and 20 Nm hike over the preceding engine.
On the other hand, the 1.9-liter engine has been designed to take efficiency to an extreme new level. The engine has been designed to produce 110 kW, 150 ps and 350 Nm.
Both the 3-liter and 1.9-liter engines are extremely efficient with electronically controlled variable geometry systems, turbocharger and high-pressure direct injection fuel system that makes the most of each drop of diesel.
The 4x4 models benefit from a solid and lighter one-piece aluminum tail-shaft, transferring to the rear differential, which is now fitted with diff-lock for constant traction when off-roading.
The bold design continues throughout the interior, equipped with new levels of technology, comfort, convenience and connectivity than ever before. The D-Max cabin is laid out to be functional and comfortable with premium materials used throughout.
At the heart of the dash is a high-definition 7-inch infotainment display, equipped with radio, Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay as standard of high-end models.
From interior to exterior, safety remains an uncompromised feature in the new Isuzu D-Max. The dual air bags with increased dimension are available in all models. Other features include: Crash door unlock system, new chassis design, rear combination lamp, electronic stability control, emergency stop signal, larger brakes, in addition to carried over active safety features such as hill-start assist and hill-descent control.
The new Isuzu D-Max range comes standard with Isuzu Middle East dealerships, encompassing the Isuzu global warranty standard.
The vehicle is available in a selection of colors and finishes: Galena Gray Metallic, Mercury Silver Metallic, Obsidian Gray, Onyx Black, Silky White Pearl, Splash White, Valencia Orange Metallic, Red Spinel, and Sapphire Blue.
