JEDDAH: The municipality of the Eastern Province carried out 1,566 inspection tours across malls, commercial centers and stores to ensure that the facilities were adhering to the measures. During the tours, 18 commercial facilities were closed, and 49 violations were issued for noncompliance with the preventative measures.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Qassim carried out 2,505 inspection tours of premises including commercial centers and food facilities.
The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing’s instructions allow for stores at shopping centers to open 24 hours in order to reduce the number of customers at peak time.
