RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued its food and dates distribution programs in different countries on Tuesday.
The center distributed 5,650 cartons of dates among the internally displaced in the Aden, Al-Dhale and Abyan governorates in Yemen.
On behalf of the Kingdom, KSrelief delivered 100 tons of dates to the Food Security Commission in Mauritania.
The center also delivered 100 tons of dates to Afghanistan. Afghan Red Crescent Society Secretary-General Dr. Nilab Mobarez thanked the Kingdom for the annual gift for the Afghan people, which he said showed the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
The center also distributed 205 Ramadan food baskets in Massenya in Chad. A total of 1,025 individuals benefited from the aid.
A food basket contains essential food items enough for the monthly needs of a family.
KSRelief also distributed 300 Ramadan baskets in different parts of Albania benefiting 1,500 people.
The center will distribute 6,332 food baskets in different parts of the country during Ramadan.
