RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attache in the Kingdom’s embassy in New Delhi, has distributed four tons of dates as a gift from King Salman to the Indian people on the occasion of Ramadan.
The distribution process took into consideration the health precautionary protocols against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The ministry is distributing King Salman’s gift of dates in 24 countries through religious attaches and affiliated cultural Islamic centers.
The Kingdom is also preparing to launch an iftar program in 16 countries in line with coronavirus health protocols. The program will provide iftar meals for Muslims during Ramadan, which starts next week.
