Saudi Arabia to launch iftar program in 16 countries

RIYADH: The Kingdom is to launch an iftar program in 16 countries in line with coronavirus preventive measures and health protocols, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The program aims to provide iftar meals for Muslims during Ramadan, which starts next week.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has made all the necessary arrangements for the King Salman program to reach all continents, depending on the need and incoming requests, in coordination with Saudi Arabia’s embassies and the ministry’s Islamic centers.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Asheikh extended his thanks and appreciation to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for supporting the ministry’s initiatives and programs aiming to serve Islam and Muslims around the world.

Al-Asheikh said: “The ministry is honored every year to carry out this program seeking to achieve the aspirations of our leadership and reflecting King Salman’s care and attention for all Muslims around the world during the holy month of Ramadan.”
