Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province closes 58 businesses for violating anti-Covid-19 measures

DAMMAM: Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province municipality has carried out 1,438 field inspection tours to monitor anti-coronavirus precautionary measures.

Authorities conducted the checks to ensure that the necessary protocols were in place to protect the health and safety of Saudi nationals and residents.

The municipality closed 58 enterprises and issued 93 violations for breaching precautionary and preventive measures.

Violations included crowding in malls and commercial centers, and failing to use the “Tawakkalna” application to access public places.

Authorities said they had received 59 complaints concerning businesses breaching health measures.

The Eastern Province called on citizens to report violations on the toll-free number 940.
