DUBAI: Dubai Police have fined the organizer of a crowded private yacht party 50,000 dirhams for breaking COVID-19 rules.
Only immediate relatives in groups of no more than 10 are allowed to gather in the emirate.
Each person attending the yacht party was also fined 15,000 dirhams for violating social distancing rules. The yacht operator’s licence was suspended for a month.
Several private parties have been broken up in Dubai in recent days as the number of infections has surged.
