The Asian Business Leadership Forum (ABLF), one of Asia’s most influential global leadership platforms held in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Economy, is all set to host the second Virtual Conclave of the ABLF Talks Live 2021 on Feb. 9. The event — a powerful leadership series that features top leaders from around the world in conversations of consequence — will be held at the state-of-the-art virtual venue, the ABLF City, developed with intuitive, interactive technology, simulating an in-person event environment created by SMART IEDEA.
The conclave will bring together political and business leaders, strategists, C-suite executives, creative storytellers and heads of leading social organizations in insightful dialogues that seek solutions to the urgent socioeconomic problems brought about by the pandemic.
The talks will be headlined by Maria Leonor Robredo, vice president of the Philippines, who will not only outline the measures taken by the government to control the spread of COVID-19 but also highlight the role of resilient leadership in economic recovery.
Joining her on the platform will be Andreas Schaal, director of global relations, OECD; Richad Soundardjee, CEO, Societe Generale, Middle East; Benjamin Ampen, managing director, Twitter MENA; Anne-Birgitte Albrectsen, CEO, Plan International; and David Girling, director, senior adviser and lead, private sector partnerships and strategy, supply division, UNICEF, among others.
Africa makes a strong presence this month with the attendance of Princess Deun Ogunlana, founder and CEO, AWHPI, Nigeria and UN Ambassador of Peace. Princess Ogunlana, an icon of women’s empowerment, will share her thoughts on blurring boundaries and bringing the world together at a time when globalization has been redefined as countries close their borders and look inwards to bolster self reliance.
Another riveting session to watch out for will be the one with Sabyasachi Mukherjee, a celebrated Indian designer who has placed Asia on the global fashion map with his innovative designs and promotion of sustainable fashion. Mukherjee will discuss ways in which Asian fashion has captured the imagination of the world in a session titled “Global Storytellers at the ABLF.”
The monthly Virtual Conclave series will run until December with discussions being held under the overarching theme: “Innovative Strategies for a Decade of Challenges: Asia 2020-2030.” Users can register for free on www.ablf.com to take part in these knowledge-led conversations.
