Jeddah authorities shut 65 facilities for coronavirus violations

JEDDAH: Jeddah authorities have shut 65 facilities for COVID-19 violations, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday.
The municipality stepped up field tours to ensure that anti-coronavirus precautionary measures were being adhered to.
The undersecretary for sub-municipalities, Mohammed Al-Mutairi, said the field tours covered shops, malls, restaurants and cafes to ensure that health measures were being followed, customer services were suspended and a delivery-only policy was in place, and that cinemas, indoor entertainment and game centers, shops, malls, gyms and event rooms were closed.
He said the tours resulted in the closure of 65 facilities for violating the precautionary measures.
