TASI falls 0.9% to 8,543 points as turnover hits $2.7bn

Saudi equities fell for the fourth consecutive session, with the benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) down 0.9%, or 76 points, to 8,543 points on Wednesday, recording the lowest closing in a month and a half.

Total turnover reached SR 10.1 billion ($2.7 million), while advance-decline ratio stood at 14:177.

Oil giant Saudi Aramco fell 0.6 percent to SAR 34, while Saudi Kayan shed 0.9 percent to SR 13.76.

Solidarity, ACC, Alhokair Group and Allianz SF lost between 4 and 5 percent.

Red Sea was the top decliner, falling 6.3 percent to SR 26.20.

Meanwhile, Al Rahji rose 0.3 percent to SR 71.70, as the bank’s fourth-quarter net profit jumped 35 percent year-on-year (YoY) to SR 3.121 billion.

Maaden climbed 1.6 percent to SR 41.15, as the mining major swung to net profit of SR 572 million in Q4 2020.

Arab Sea was top gainer, rising 9.9 percent to SR 100.
