ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had a telephonic conversation with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, on Thursday in which he praised the kingdom for addressing differences among the Gulf countries.
Qureshi also applauded Saudi Arabia for successfully holding the GCC Summit amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He appreciated other Gulf states for their willingness to address contentious issues in the region, describing it as a positive development for the region.
The foreign minister thanked the kingdom for supporting Pakistan's stance on Kashmir and Islamophobia at the OIC forum.
The two sides agreed to continue their joint consultations. Qureshi also asked the Saudi foreign minister to visit Pakistan.
