JEDDAH: The number of patients having recovered from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is on the rise in the Kingdom with 433 new recoveries reported on Wednesday.
The total number of recoveries has risen to 332,550 in the Kingdom. There are 8,149 actives cases receiving treatment out of which 769 are in critical condition.
On Wednesday, 416 new infections were reported from across the country. The total number of confirmed cases recorded in the Kingdom since the outbreak has reached 346,047.
With 19 new fatalities, the death toll has risen to 5,348.
According to the Ministry of Health, 75 of the newly recorded cases were in Madinah, 49 in Riyadh, and 47 in Makkah.
Saudi Arabia has so far conducted 7,889,114 PCR tests, with 58,561 carried out in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health urged those showing symptoms of coronavirus disease to visit Tetamman (rest assured) clinics to get tested for the virus.
The proactive approach of the health authorities is bearing fruit as the number of infections in the Kingdom is witnessing a decline.
The Health Ministry stressed the importance of taking precautions to keep the virus at bay. People have been asked to continue wearing masks and follow social distancing measures.
About 235 Tetamman clinics are distributed in various cities across the Kingdom.
The centers provide a COVID-19 testing service after booking appointments via the Sehaty app.
However, patients can visit the centers without appointments if they suspect they are infected.
