LONDON: A symposium on artificial intelligence (AI) in the media is being organized by the Gulf Radio and Television Organization.
The Oct. 12 event will be streamed through the organization’s Twitter account @GCCGRT between 8 and 9 p.m and will discuss the development of Gulf radio and television agencies through AI technology.
The organization’s director general, Majri bin Mubarak Al-Qahtani, said: “The symposium is paramount at the time, especially within the global media technological development in content creation and interaction with targeted audiences through digital platforms. The symposium is a continuation of our efforts to organize festivals, events, and media symposia, to meet the expectations and aspirations of the Gulf media industry.”
The symposium will be moderated by Abdullah Maghram, an adviser in interactive media technologies.
The speakers are: Obaid Saad Shaksy, the CEO of the Media Training Center in Oman, Nahed Bashath, chief editor of Abaad News, Ahmad Menhaly, director of operations and technology at Abu Dhabi Media, and Hatem Kamly, a digital media and marketing specialist.
It will address themes relevant to AI in media, such as the use of AI tech in media domains and possible future uses. It will conclude with key recommendations and suggestions for radio and television producers.
