On what it has been like working the frontlines during COVID-19:
We started out on this treacherous journey with COVID-19, as an unknown disease, with unprecedented and undocumented treatment plan to combat it. We began learning, step-by-step, of this immune response to the body. We managed as a Hospital Medicine team to overcome this dangerous condition. Following all the precautions, our team continued working during the pandemic with zero infections, which was incredible being first responders to patients who tested positive.
Our management of COVID-19 improved and mortality rates declined. With the help and support of both JHAH and Saudi Aramco management, we came together with one common goal, which was to fight this frightening disease. We now feel more competent at dealing with this, and I am proud to have been associated with our success.
