Saudi FM discusses G20 with Russian, South African counterparts

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone call on Wednesday with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
During the call, both reviewed the efforts of the G20 and the works schedule proposed by the Kingdom.
Saudi Arabia holds this year’s G20 presidency and is set to host the 15th G20 Summit in the capital Riyadh on Nov. 21-22.
They also discussed bilateral relations between their countries and ways of supporting and enhancing them in various fields, as well as exchanging views on the latest developments in the Middle East.
The Saudi foreign minister later held a phone call with South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor to also review the G20’s work for this year ahead of the upcoming meeting.
They also discussed bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation and ways to develop them, in addition to overall regional and international issues of common interest.
