6 performances to take place at NYU Abu Dhabi’s Arts Center

The Arts Center at New York University (NYU) Abu Dhabi has launched its virtual sixth season, set to run until Dec.10.

  • Kid Koala

    When? Oct. 10 

    Eric San, famous as Kid Koala, is a Canadian DJ, music producer and award-winning visual artist. His live soundtracks, which feature robotic costumes, are enjoyed by kids and adults.

  • Tania El-Khoury 

    When? Sept. 9-Oct. 4

    “As Far As Isolation Goes (Online)” is a collaboration between live artist Tania El-Khoury and musician and street artist Basel Zaraa. It is a micro-theater piece that explores the mental health of asylum seekers.

  • 600 Highwaymen

    When? Oct. 7-Oct.18

    “A Thousand Ways: Part 1” by Abigail Browde and Michael Silverstone is a theatrical performance that will be played out with just two people via a phone call.

    When? Oct. 26

    The musician — who is known for his introspective, poetic work — will present a piano recital.

    New York-based filmmaker Sam Green’s “A Short Films Program” explores scenarios like wandering the empty corridors of the world’s largest shopping mall and more.

    The multi-award-winning Korean music group will perform an online concert featuring their reinvention of Korean folk-roots music.
