The Sound of Beirut: Celebrities team up for fundraising concert

Artists from around the world will perform in a virtual fundraising concert organized by music streaming app Anghami on Sept. 8 to help victims of the Beirut blast.

  • The Chainsmokers

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart together make up the EDM-pop duo and while you may love to hate them, you cannot deny they are masters of creating stick-in-your-head tunes

  • Craig David

The British singer will most likely perform his hit tracks, including “Fill Me In” and the more recent “When You Know What Love Is.”

  • Red One

The Grammy award-winning artist, who is of Swedish-Moroccan descent, will join the star-studded concert. He has collaborated with stars including Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more.

  • French Montana

American-Moroccan rapper Karim Kharbouch, better known by his stage name French Montana, is the hit maker behind the catchy tunes “Unforgettable” and “No Stylist.”

  • Cheb Khaled

Besides joining the concert, the Algerian singer recently released a new song, — titled “Elle S’appelle Beyrouth” (Her Name Is Beirut) — to support Lebanon. The money generated from the single will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross.

  • Balqees Fathi

The list of 37 artists also features the Yemeni-Emirati musician, who was named one of the region’s most influential personalities by Forbes in 2018.
