RIYADH: Hundreds of citations for tax violations were issued last week by the Kingdom’s General Authority of Zakat and Tax. The 865 violations were detected during 3,609 inspection visits that were carried out to ensure that businesses were adhering to zakat and income tax regulations, and to also reduce violations.
Violations included failure to keep tax invoices, tax amounts not being collected, and an absence of tax stamps on tobacco products.
