DUBAI: Bahrain has reopened mosques for Fajr prayers on Friday, Saudi Al-Arabiya TV reported.
Group Friday prayers will continue to be banned at mosques except at a limited capacity at the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Center mosque, a statement by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments said.
“The opening of mosques will be under the supervision and control of the concerned endowment administration and in accordance with health requirements,” the statement read.
Bahrain has suspended prayers in mosques and prayer rooms since May 28 to curb the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Jordan has joined Bahrain in the Phase III trials of the UAE’s inactivated coronavirus vaccine.
“This is the latest extension of the ongoing trials by G42 Healthcare and Sinopharm CNBG that commenced in the UAE on 16 July,” Abu Dubai Media office tweeted on Thursday.
