RIYADH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Friday praised the Arab coalition’s vigilance in intercepting drones launched against Saudi Arabia by the Iran-backed Houthi militia.
Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, OIC secretary-general, said Houthi hostilities were hindering efforts to find a peaceful solution to the conflict in Yemen.
The OIC has repeatedly condemned the Houthi’s actions as well as those providing the militia with financing and weapons, he said.
The Arab coalition on Thursday said it had intercepted and downed an armed drone and a ballistic missile fired from Yemen toward Saudi Arabia.
