Tamimi Markets, a fast-growing Saudi supermarket chain, has opened its 62nd branch in Saudi Arabia, located in the Al-Aziziya neighborhood of Dammam.
The new branch, located at the corner of King Abdul Aziz Street and 28th Street, features the first in-store pharmacy in the Kingdom. Under new regulations of the Ministry of Health, Tamimi partnered with Adwa Pharmacies, enabling shoppers to conveniently pick up all their family health care needs and prescriptions while shopping at the supermarket. The completely refurbished plaza offers an appealing mix of retail brands and services for the local community.
“Tamimi Markets’ healthy living department is well known for its natural, organic, gluten-free and nutritious products. Now with the Adwa Pharmacies partnership, Tamimi Markets takes health and wellness to the next level,” said Bobby Rajendran, general manager of Tamimi Markets.
“We are grateful for the ministry’s vision of bringing convenient health care closer to local communities and Adwa Pharmacies is proud to open the Kingdom’s first in-store pharmacy at Tamimi Markets,” said Abdullah Al-Thukair, CEO of Adwa Pharmacies and Al-Thukair Medical Group. Adwa also plans to open a mini-clinic in the Tamimi plaza.
“There are a number of innovative features to explore at our new store,” Rajendran said. The store takes a fresh, new approach to bulk foods, with Miros, a dried fruit and nuts souq with high quality products at attractive prices. Miros also offers convenient pre-weighed products, saving customers’ time.
“Shoppers appreciate Tamimi Markets’ high-quality fresh foods, international standards and friendly service, and we have also earned a solid reputation for great value,” said Rajendran. “In fact, our ad prices will never be beaten and our Tamimi Markets branded products help shoppers save even more with the ‘New VAT on Us’ offer, holding the line on pre-July 1 retail prices,” he added.
Tamimi Markets’ loyalty program, “Themari,” allows customers to access exclusive offers, earn points and win prizes.
Rajendran said the supermarket houses exclusive brands from the US and UK, including Signature Select, O Organic and Lucerne from Safeway, Kirkland Signature from Costco, and Sainsbury’s UK, which is arriving soon. “All are available at great prices in our new Dammam store,” the general manager added.
Tamimi Markets is one of the Kingdom’s fastest growing family-owned supermarket chains. “We are a Saudi family, proudly serving the families of Saudi Arabia for over 40 years,” said Abdul Aziz Tamimi, CEO of Tamimi Markets.
“We look forward to proudly serving this community for many years to come,” added Rajendran.
The new Dammam store, like all Tamimi Markets locations, is open 24/7 to serve its customers.
