Saudi and Italian FMs meet to discuss G20 affairs

ROME: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio on Friday at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome, as part of his official visit to Italy.

The two men discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, the current situation in the region, and other issues of common interest.

Following their meeting, Di Maio hosted a lunch for Prince Faisal and his accompanying delegation, which was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Italy Prince Faisal bin Sattam bin Abdul Aziz, the director general of the foreign minister’s office Ambassador Abdullah Al-Aifan, and other officials.

Discussions during the working lunch touched on the Kingdom’s presidency of the G20 and the importance of enhancing cooperation to achieve the group’s goals, as Italy will assume the presidency next year.
