I came across the Uncharted series when the last game, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, was released, the trailer of which went viral due to its impressively realistic graphics.
I played the games in the wrong order — the fourth one first, followed by the first, second and third one. The first three games were remastered for the PS4 and provided the best experience while playing.
The series, developed by Naughty Dog, has an immersive storyline. The games revolve around Nathan Drake, a thief who has a passion for retrieving ancient relics and treasures that date back centuries. The game is laid out with mind-blowing puzzles and difficult-to-cross areas. The detail and realism is what impresses most.
Besides Nathan Drake, my favorite character in the games is Sullivan. He is like a father figure to Nathan but also a friend. Sullivan, or Sully, teamed up with Drake when he was just a boy.
My favorite game of the three was Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Most of the game is played in Middle Eastern countries, and growing up in an Arabic country I found the representation very amusing and accurate.
The game is all-consuming and putting the console down will be the most difficult thing to do — apart from finding armies and other creatures during the game.
