TABUK: Saudi Border Guards have thwarted an attempt to smuggle large quantities of Captagon — an addictive amphetamine — into the Kingdom, according to Border Guards spokesman Lt. Col. Misfer Al-Quraini.
He said three bags containing 360,000 Captagon pills had been confiscated from two Jordanian smugglers attempting to cross the border near Halat Ammar. The two were arrested and referred to “competent authorities,” he added.
“The Border Guards are determined to protect the Kingdom’s borders from all those targeting its security and stability. They are ready to thwart any smuggling and infiltration attempts and enforce the laws in the face of those who violate them,” Al-Quraini said.
