KHARTOUM: Sudan’s Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Nasreldin Mofreh received at his office on Thursday the Saudi ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jafar.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination.
Mofreh reiterated the Sudanese government’s support for the Kingdom’s decision to accommodate a limited number of pilgrims of various nationalities for Hajj this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. He said that this decision was in accordance with Islam, and showed the awareness of the Kingdom’s leadership and its concern for the safety of pilgrims.
Mofreh praised the Kingdom’s efforts to serve pilgrims, and commended its constant support on all levels.
The envoy confirmed the Kingdom’s concern to strengthen and develop cooperation between the two countries.
