RIYADH: Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture laboratories have passed nine proficiency tests for epidemic and zoonotic diseases, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Hamad Al-Batshan, deputy minister for animal resources, said that these efforts aim to improve the quality and efficiency of laboratories by documenting results according to the highest international standards.
The ministry seeks to expand the scope of proficiency tests to raise the readiness of technical staff, as well as encouraging new capabilities and laboratory technology.
