QATIF: Hundreds of inspection tours were carried out last month in Qatif to ensure the implementation of health and municipal regulations and requirements as well as the implementation of preventive protocols and measures.
The Eastern Province municipality, represented by the municipality of Qatif governorate, carried out 690 inspection tours of commercial and food establishments aimed at ensuring the safety of traded foodstuffs as well as ensuring that precautionary and safety measures were being followed.
Inspection tours covered 2,751 establishments and resulted in the closure of 93 stores, the issue of 605 warnings and 11 tickets, in addition to the levying of financial penalties on stores that did not comply with the health measures.
Qatif mayor, Mohammed bin Abdulmohsen Al-Husseini said that the municipality had intensified its monitoring activity to ensure the preservation of environmental sanitation and the removal of everything that may pose a threat to public health.
