Saudi interior minister praises efforts of hospitals in fight against COVID-19

RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif hailed the efforts of the ministry’s Medical Services Department and the security forces hospitals in the Kingdom against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

This came during the minister’s video conference with Maj. Gen. Suleiman Al-Dawoud, director-general of the department and supervisor of the Security Forces Hospitals Program in Riyadh, and other directors of the hospitals in Riyadh, Makkah, and Dammam.

The attendees briefed the minister on the most important efforts of these hospitals in fighting the pandemic as well as the continuous efforts to increase the capacity of beds and intensive care unit beds for patients afflicted with COVID-19.

At the end of the meeting, Prince Abdul Aziz expressed his appreciation for all employees of the Medical Services Department and security forces hospitals, stressing the importance of doubling their efforts to contain the pandemic.
