SYDNEY: Following the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to facilitate the return of citizens from abroad to the Kingdom, the first group of Saudi citizens in Australia departed on Thursday, heading for King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.
Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Australia Musaed bin Ibrahim Al-Saleem expressed his gratitude to the king and the crown prince for their support for Saudi citizens at home and abroad, and for ensuring the safe return of the Australia-based citizens in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
His words were echoed by a number of the passengers, who additionally expressed their thanks to the Saudi Embassy in Australia for its efforts to secure their return and ensure their safety.
