DUBAI: Jordan has repatriated 2,940 Jordanians in the first phase of the country’s repatriation efforts amid the coronavirus outbreak, state-run Jordan News Agency has reported.

A total of 16 flights have been carried out, according to Brig. Gen. Khaled Shantir, head of the airport’s security and protection department.

He said there will be a second evacuation phase, but gave no further details.
