Egypt conducts 18 flights to return citizens, more planned

DUBAI: Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has conducted 18 repatriation flights to bring home citizens stranded abroad and is planning four more, monthly magazine Egypt Today has reported.
The upcoming flights will conclude by May 5, the ministry added.
Marsa Alam International Airport received 148 citizens from Oman and Indonesia on Tuesday, who would undergo a 14-day quarantined in one of the tourist villages in the town of Marsa Alam.
Egypt has suspended flights since March 19 except for air cargo flights, international ambulance, domestic flights and repatriation trips for tourists.
The country so far has confirmed 5,268 coronavirus cases, 380 fatalities and 1,335 recoveries.
