TOKYO: Saudi Arabia repatriated around 107 Saudi nationals from Narita Tokyo International Airport on Wednesday, as a precautionary measure against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) global outbreak.

The Saudi citizens arrived around 19:48 at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on a Saudia airlines plane, which repatriated some 120 Japanese citizens to Japan on Tuesday.

The Saudi nationals, in coordination with the Saudi health ministry, were also transported in a bus, and they will be quarantining and social distancing for the next two weeks.

Flight SV3556 was originally scheduled to depart from Tokyo at 9:50, however departed at 13:12.

It was also scheduled to arrive at 17:30 but had been delayed.

Saudi citizens had been staying at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo awaiting their flight home.

The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Tokyo has been following up with Saudi Nationals in ensuring that all of those who wish to return have all of the necessary information and are aware of the logistics.
