BURAIDAH: Qassim Gov. Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Abdul Aziz inaugurated an initiative in Buraidah on Sunday to assist families affected by the measures taken to fight the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The initiative was under the umbrella of the community fund that was recently launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to help families across the Kingdom.
Prince Faisal praised the initiative that allocated SR250 million ($66 million) in the first phase, which will focus on helping the most-affected families until the end of the crisis.
Fahd Al-Mutlaq, director of the ministry’s branch in Qassim, expressed his appreciation for this initiative.
He talked about the support of Prince Faisal and the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi, who launched the community fund to activate the role of the societal responsibility of the nonprofit sector amid the global pandemic, promote national partnerships and support the governmental efforts to mitigate the impact of the crisis.
