Cameras to be placed in kitchens to ensure food safety in Saudi Arabia’s Asir Province

ABHA: Surveillance cameras are to be placed in restaurants and catering kitchens in Asir Province to ensure restaurants are keeping food and workers safe amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Walid Al-Hamidi, mayor of Asir municipality, noted that this initiative is in line with the municipality’s efforts to maintain food safety in the region to the highest standards.
Al-Hamidi said that initially this will be implemented in regions under the authority of the municipalities of Asir, Khamis Mushayt, Balsamer, Rijal Alma, Bisha, Sarat Ubaida, Al-Namas, Mahayel Asir, Tanuma, Al-Majardah, Al-Hazmi, Wadi bin Hashbal and Al-Harja.
The second phase includes the municipalities of Ahad Rafidah, Al-Amoah, Samakh Tereeb, Al-Wadeen, Bahr Abu Sukaynah, Al-Barak, Dhahran Al-Janub, Al-Bashaer, Bariq, Balqarn, Al-Farshah, Al-Rabwah, Qana, Balhamer, Sahel, El-Naqeea, Bani Amr, Al-Subaykhah, Tathleeth, Al-Thaniyyah and Tabalah.
