What We Are Watching Today: ‘Jungle’

For film fans looking for a bit of adventure during the coronavirus lockdown, then the movie “Jungle” could prove to be just the ticket.
British actor Daniel Radcliffe plays author and adventurer Yossi Ghinsberg in this true survival story set in the Bolivian Amazon rainforest in 1981.
A group of friends join a guide for a trek to find an Indian village. But when Ghinsberg becomes separated from the party in an uncharted part of the jungle, things start to go downhill rapidly.
Also starring Thomas Kretschmann, Joel Jackson and Yasmin Kassim the movie is at times gory as Ghinsberg’s harrowing and desperate battle for survival unravels.
Guaranteed to leave its mark, the flick is available on Netflix.
